Motion graphics styles

2D motion graphics

This is the classic motion design style. We create or use your existing images and animate them.

A good option for app demos, startup videos, blockchain explainers, tech and software animation, and more.

2D motion graphics with characters

This is one of the most popular choices for animated explainer videos. It’s because with characters we can showcase your customer’s potential experience.

A great option for all kinds of projects — finance, medical, startup, presentation videos, sales videos, and expo videos.

Isometric motion graphics

Isometric is a way to create the illusion of 3D without the visual actually being modeled and rendered in 3D.

This technique looks great, yet saves time and money for all parties involved compared to working in full 3D.

2D motion graphics in live-action videos

Using keying, tracking, and rotoscoping, we seamlessly add motion graphics to live-action video, whether it’s original or stock footage.

Occasionally we will also use 3D graphics if necessary for added emotional effect or if your product should be shown from different angles.

Software we use

Our design team uses Adobe Suite, which includes:

  • Adobe Illustrator. We use Illustrator to create original artwork and designs in vector form. Vector images are able to be scaled to any size without loss in quality.
  • Adobe Photoshop. Everyone has heard of Photoshop for editing and manipulating images. It also allows you to create special raster images that work well for animating.
  • Adobe After Effects. This is what we use for the animation stages.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro. All the work comes together in this app, which mixes everything down to a single video.
In addition to the Adobe collection of software, we also use Cinema 4D for some 3D projects.

We never use any templates or toolkits; all our work and techniques are original and created by professional artists and animators.

FAQ

What is motion graphics?
Motion Graphics or Motion Design is a style of digital animation that allows us to manipulate graphic images and animate them with powerful software. It takes graphics or text and gives movement and life to them, making them far more interesting and dynamic than flat images can be on their own.
What is the difference between traditional animation & motion graphics?
Traditional animation requires every movement to be animated by hand for each frame. That’s between 20 and 30 separate drawings for every second of animation! Motion graphics adds automation to that process, making it much easier to animate an image.
Why are motion graphics the best style for corporate video animation productions?
Motion Graphics are one of the most inexpensive animation styles to create, and that by itself is a big selling point for businesses. However, what makes Motion Graphics animations really special is that those lower costs don’t come with a trade for quality. The motion design is high quality and can be used in everything from broadcast television to social media marketing. Some of the biggest companies in the world use motion graphics in their videos. It’s a win-win.
Do you create illustrations and storyboards?
We do not create them separately as a single service. But any time we are creating a full project or anything from the visuals phase onward, then yes that is part of our production process.
Do you provide project files?
Yes, project files are included in most of our packages. Please check your contact person or reach out to us for more information.
How does it cost for a minute long 2D motion graphics animated video?
$2900-$5500, depending on project style and complexity.
